Belarus, Slovenia to cooperate in motor transport area
MINSK, 27 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Slovenia have agreed to cooperate in the motor transport area, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry for Transport and Communications.
The terms of the cooperation have been discussed at a session of the Belarusian-Slovenian Joint Committee for International Motor-Service. The session has been held in Minsk recently.
The sides noted that both the countries increased the traffic volume in 2010. At the session the sides have agreed the final quota for issuing trucking permits for 2010. They have also adjusted the preliminary quotas for trucking permits in 2011.
The Slovenian delegation has proposed the Belarusian side to liberalize the mutual transportations. The Slovenian experts have expressed readiness to render assistance in simplifying visa procedures for the Belarusian carriers.
Representatives of the Belarus Ministry for Transport and Communications have informed the Slovenian counterparts about the development of the Belarusian logistics system and proposed to discuss the possible participation of Slovenian investors in creation of logistics centers in this country. |
